Hap and Leonard

"Hap and Leonard is an American television drama series based on the characters Hap and Leonard, created by novelist Joe R. Lansdale and adapted from his series of novels of the same name. The series was written and developed by Nick Damici and Jim Mickle, who had previously adapted Lansdale's Cold in July and was directed by Mickle. The series premiered on the American cable network SundanceTV on March 2, 2016. So far, the series has received favorable reviews.^[4][5][6]

The series was renewed for a six-episode third season which premiered on March 7, 2018. The third season is inspired by the third novel in the Hap and Leonard series, titled The Two-Bear Mambo.

On May 14, 2018, SundanceTV announced they had cancelled the series after three seasons

Okay, some original thoughts...I read the books before the series came out. Landsdale is th eTexas version of Stephen King, I won't say everything is bigger in Texas, but Joe R. holds his own and that is more than enough to make him worth reading.

And the actor playing Hap, is the badass form 'The Wire', the one who robbed the dealers and played Robin Hood with the money.

 Do not be ALARMED! There is nothing wrong with your picture and this man is not 'Special'. He just isn't very attractive. When you look at anyone, even that person n the mirror, remember none of us had the opportunity to pick the way we look and if we did, we'd all be a bunch of hansom devils....no one asked us if we wanted to be pretty, because we'd all say 'Yes!'

I'm writing with my Official St. Pat's hat on It is a green bowler I picked up at the Dollar Store. I put some TAMU duct tape as a headband.. Glued on a joker from some old deck of cards. And perched on top, a tiny green lizard, perched ready to spit in your fucking eye.

We are all lost but what a grand day it will l be when when we are found…..I feel lost and for the most part, I’ve managed to hold it together. It’s all new, new to me, like they say about buying used stuff. ‘New car”?” “New to me!”....THat lack of familiarity is what keeps the pits of our stomachs and the attention of our mind. Thinking it over and over until we tire of it and swing the opposite way….not giving a Fuck.  It seems the world is stuck in the hard-line, not giving a fuck mode. Hell, if we’re no better than ants, then our individuality may be what drives our society, everyone looking out for themselves, mostly everybody, there are a few selfless souls.

I, unfortunately, am not one of them.

I am one of ‘them’...Who are them?.... ‘them’ are the Bloggers on the internet who are obsessed with studying. Yes, a lot of high school seniors in that mix. They take pictures of their desks, journals, and cups of coffee/tea precariously balanced on a white bed cover. Always white. I spill coffee when I even try and hold a up over the bed. I set it next to my leg, all safe and secure...zone out and move the leg pouring the wet liquid through all the layers of bedding. A fucking mess. And While I’m at it, I’ll say I can't have a glass of anything on the bedside table without it having a lid I spill it. Every trucking time. And then I’m wiping out drawers and wiping off coffee from all the crap I keep in the drawers No, Rule for Mike...no glasses on the bedside table and no setting coffee down on the bed .

I digress...
