My Saturday

Slept in. At seven thirty I couldn't lay there any longer. Head didn't get to sleep much longer.  Lana invited her to her boy's soccor game.  Her parents will be there and H want's to see them.  Me? Not so much. I will stay here, shop for groceries for the weekend, ensuring I do not have to go out for anything but a walk for the rest of the time. I have H looking at FoodPorn on Reddit to get menu ideas.

Saturday mornings are great 'me'-time.  I get in front of my battle station and write and draw and read.  It inspires me.  The only real structure to my day is sitting  with my family to watch A&M play No. 1 ranked Alabama. A&M is on a roll and it would be a Ciderilla story if we upset the No. 1 team.  Something's missing? That's it, I need to have a video playing on the other computer screen...

...I choose 'Limitless'.  IMDb says its about  'A writer discovers a top-secret drug which bestows him with super human abilities.'  Bob DeNiro is the co-star.  We will see.

I can't jsut watch a sho or do anything withou having a show going in the backgorund.  It's just the way I do my business.

My Youngest is out the door, last day to take a Math class. He is at the Jr. college.  He is taking nine hours or less for the past year, trying to recover from home-schooling.  He likes social interaction more than books.  He's nineteen and following his own path. The oldest is the opposite.  Loves books and hates talking to people.  I doubt if he knows more than on e person in any of his classes.  He is not up. He gets up at noon.  Now, it isn't just the video games.  He he has had this job stockign wine at a Sam's Club for years.  His first job and he's held it.  He doesnt work for Sam, he works for the liquor company.  His Uncle, H's brother, is one of the vice-presidents.

Hey, I bet Lana's sister Laura wil be at te game too.  Remeber stayng at her place...for the Southfork 10K? Bleeding nipples? Beers with our swollen feet in J.R.'s pool   She has a new husand, has for years.  Found herself a good one. He is a nerd, which she has always been.  He is a nerd.  My most embarassing moment, there are two actually, was when were all at a Maciroi grill or Olive Garden with everybod, and I go off on how stupid Larping is and Robert responded that he had just confirmed his reservations to the national Larper's event. Oops.  The other embarassing mombet was one New Years at our house where I called him Steve all night, that was Laura's first husband. Double oops.

I can see the neighborhood crank walking past.  An old lady who wears a blue sweatsuit with  red stripes.  And she has a habit of going through everyone's mail box.  Don't ever be that person, son.

Lana's husband is not who you would of thought she would end up with.  He is a grey bearded Harly rider.  Health nut.  Good man.  Likes to pack his own ammo.  A nice, country guy.  Nice as in they took in his ex's daughter when the ex- went ot prison.  She wqs a wild child with her feet up in the air for the boys.  They did the best they could.  They are good people.  They live all the way up on the Oklahoma border n a little town called Van Alstein.  Country folk.  Lana earns as much as I do working as head hunter from home.  He is also a registered Rakee instructor.  It is some kind of healing thing.  She has a weinner dog named Cigar that only gets natural food, not quite a vegitarian like you, but close.  And he goes to a holistic vet in Oklahoma.  Lana is country as a bisquit.

I have some pics from when we went to see a soccer game, and scored some weed.

That's Perry, Lana's on the left, and Robert on the  right. Perry has his own business installing and fixing sprinkler systems.  Robert just retired (laid off with incentives) for Hewlett Packard.  He is a computer dude. Most importantly, he is an Aggie.

Lara and Robert have matching raincoats.  "How do you tell them apart?" I asked.
'His is much bigger, obviously."
'Have you ever swithched them?'
'No.'
'You should, just for fun.'

Now Robert works with Laura, some web design business she has had for years.  They are the kind of people who let their cats on the kitchen table and give their diabetic dog insulin shots.

Their boy is quite the athlete.  It's weird that they let him spend most nights at his friend's house. I think the games and hunting trips are the only times they see him. Ryan is in the fore ground, the other kid is Latino, if you couldn't tell.
